Privacy Policy

We believe that document verification shouldn’t require compromising your confidentiality. Read how our Zero Retention architecture protects your data.

The “Zero Retention” Promise

When you upload a document to AI Detector PDF, it is processed entirely in volatile memory (RAM). The text is extracted, analyzed, and permanently deleted the moment your results are displayed. We never write your document to a hard drive, we never store it in a database, and we cannot retrieve it once your session ends.

1. Introduction

Welcome to AIDetectorPDF.com (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We understand that you may be uploading highly sensitive documents—such as unpublished research papers, student essays, business proposals, or legal contracts. Protecting the confidentiality of your files is our primary technical and ethical objective.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website and use our AI detection tool.

2. How We Handle Your Documents

Our document handling process is designed to ensure maximum privacy for our users:

  • In-Memory Processing: Documents uploaded to our tool are processed in server RAM. They are not saved to any persistent storage disk.
  • Immediate Deletion: The exact millisecond our algorithmic analysis is complete and your score is sent to your browser, the memory sector containing your document is overwritten and wiped.
  • No Human Access: Because documents are never saved to disk, no employee, contractor, or third party can ever view or read the documents you upload.
  • No Third-Party APIs: Your text is processed on our proprietary, secure servers. We do not send your documents to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other external API for analysis.

3. No AI Training (Ever)

Many free tools monetize by using user-submitted data to train large language models or fine-tune their own algorithms. We do not.

Your intellectual property remains yours. We explicitly guarantee that the contents of your PDFs and text inputs will never be fed into a training dataset, used to improve our detection models, or sold to third-party AI companies. Your writing cannot accidentally appear in a future AI model’s output because of our tool.

4. Information We Actually Collect

While we do not store your documents, we do collect standard, minimal data required to operate a web service securely:

Automatically Collected Data (Server Logs)

When you visit the website, our servers automatically log basic, non-identifying information, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Timestamp of your visit
  • Referring website
  • Truncated/anonymized IP addresses (for security and rate-limiting purposes)

Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies to maintain your session (for example, keeping your scan results visible while you are on the page) and to protect against abuse (like DDoS attacks). We do not use intrusive tracking pixels or invasive third-party ad trackers.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent any user information. We may only disclose technical server data under the following strict conditions:

  • To Service Providers: We use trusted infrastructure providers (like secure cloud hosting networks) to operate the service. These providers act strictly on our behalf and cannot use your data independently.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or legal process, we will comply. However, because we operate a Zero Retention architecture, we cannot provide documents or scan histories to authorities, because we do not have them.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your connection to our servers. All traffic between your browser and AI Detector PDF is encrypted via HTTPS/SSL. This ensures that your document cannot be intercepted by third parties while it is being uploaded for analysis.

7. GDPR & User Rights

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data.

Because we do not require account creation to use the free tool, and because we instantly delete all uploaded documents, we generally hold zero personal data tied to you as an individual. If you have created a paid account (which handles billing information via a secure third-party processor like Stripe), you can request full deletion of your account and billing history by contacting us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, legal requirements, or operational practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
